The Gods

Hello everybody!

Jus one day late cause well my hair is different color. Thats what I spent yesterday doing instead of finishing the page haha. Well, ta-da, I have it done. We get to meet the Gods of this world and we get a very very brief introduction to a few of their legends. I plan on having more God pages, although they may not appear next week as next week I want to do a page on Anima. The Godly legends and stories are fun (especially on how Fate ended up looking like a hippie) and they might be untranslated. I’ll do my best to transcribe what I can from the original untranslated documents, as they are written in the Godly language. So for now, we have the brief synopsis of the Gods.

The Gods were fun to color, especially Space and Fate. I think I’m going to do individuals drawings of them so we can see them better and so we can admire the Space’s hair since it’s amazing!

Edit: I totally didn’t mention the weird sign that in the middle of the page, it means the Gods, its the universal sign of the Gods. Each God has their own sign, written in their language. They are tattooed on the arms of each God, for example you can see it on Space and Fates arm’s since they are wearing sleeveless clothing. The reason it looks like a key is because the key is the sign for Anima.

Edit: So a little bird told me the page was a little bit confusing, so I tried to fix it up a little and I rearranged some things around and I hope it makes a bit more sense now. I know some things are a little vague, but they are meant to be vague since more stuff will be revealed. Jus a little heads up, Reverse Earth is something Ancient One does not know about.

NOW INTRODUCING: Kenna Blake

Yo-o everyone,

Better late than never, right? Well, here I am at midnight (and I’m counting this as Tuesday) posting!

I’ve been watching a lot of Once Upon a Time lately, so, it’s been distracting me as well as inspiring me. I’ve also been watching a lot of Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated, which is surprisingly awesome. So I’ve had all kinds of inspiration lately that have spurred my art and my writing. But that will all be revealed in due time.

I’ve also been working on some secret stuff for JGTcomics! JGTcomics is Genie’s webcomic. As many of you know, Genie is my best friend who has helped me a lot with my site and just life in general. Go check her website out, it’s a squirrely parody of prophecy stories and other kind of stories. It’s fun and I’m kind of co-creator, so seriously, go check it out –> here

So here is Kenna: Kenna is loosely based off of my friend Genie. A lot of her personality comes from Genie while a lot of it comes from the character that turned into Kenna. She kind of became Kenna after the first few rough drafts of The Great Beings. Kenna’s a pretty serious character who finds her freedom in drawing, writing and painting. Her past is pretty intense, and its shaped her into who she currently is.

Next character that’s coming is Maia Meyer!

Not quite finished

Hey everybody!

Unfortunately I left my laptop at my house yesterday and I didn’t get to finish what I was going to publish. It was gonna be a page about the 6 gods, but I wasn’t able to finish it. I’ll just post it next Thursday and for now I’ll post a character page for Lyall Townhell.

Lyall Townhell is one of my favorite characters. She was inspired by crazy characters, like the Cheshire Cat and she was inspired by myself (to a certain extent). She was one of the first characters in the story that was meant to just be on the side and not important, but she kind of turned into someone who meant a lot more to the story than I thought she would. So here is Lyall Townhell:

Time to check things off

Hey everybody!

Well, I’m sure you all noticed the changes right? We got some new tabs for the things that are coming this summer! I’m extremely stoked about it all!! All we get today is the new banner that will be on the site (I thought it was time for a change).

Well…I feel bad since this isn’t exciting enough. So let’s add a character page!

 

 

 

Well, I think this is good for today! The reasons the side of the page looks the way it does is because it show what Jamie used to look like and how she currently looks. The weird looking sign is what is etched in Jamie’s pendant. It means Power is the language of the Ancient One.

News and Fanart

Yo!

Jocey here giving an update that I meant to put up last week. I’m still working on the cover of the next chapter (the end of part 1!) but its almost done, I’m messing around with the way I color so we’ll see it turns out! The next chapter is very explanatory, it explains a lot of the things about the Ancient One, the mission, the forms, et cetera. I hope it doesn’t get too boring, but things need to be explained! I tried balancing the boring-ness, but I don’t know how well it worked. To be quite honest, I’m still debating whether or not to rewrite it again, but we’ll see. I’ve already rewritten the first two chapters of part 2 and I’m much more satisfied with it, so I might go on a rewrite this chapter. I might rewrite based on any edits I receive!

After part 1 ends, we’re going on a whole world-building summer schedule! I want to put up character pages as well as lots of info pages about the world, things that probably won’t get explained in the story. I won’t go into to too much detail over the Council as part 2 goes into that information, but I’ll do my best to get some framework running! This world has been written in my head for so many years, so I’m very excited to get it all out as well as the other surprises I have in store!

In other news: my friend Genie drew Jamie dressed up as Sakura from CardCaptor Sakura (my most favorite manga and anime of all time)! A few weeks ago, I had one of my wisdom teeth extracted and she drew it as a get well/don’t be scared kind of card (since getting my teeth pulled scared the bejeebers out of me). I meant to put it up a while ago and now I’m finally getting to it:

A Spell for Jocey by Genie

Our Kero friend is meant to be Rudy from JGTcomics. I know I’ve said this before, but seriously, go check out her webcomic! It’s awesome squirrel-y fun! It’s a parody of prophecy stories and it holds a very special place in my heart. (And the webcomic is officially two years old too!)

The Great Beings takes inspiration from Magical Girl stories like CardCaptor Sakura (CCS)! While I don’t have the cards of CCS, the story has really inspired me and if you want to get technical, Jamie can be considered a Magical Girl. Over the summer I’ll reveal more details over the inspiration of The Great Beings, but as a heads up: video games and cartoons!

So here is to the summer and the end of part 1!

I’ll see you all later this week as the chapter will be up by Sunday!
